Pittleworth Lake

Pittleworth Trout Lake is a well established trout lake in the heart of the Hampshire countryside and is now available for day tickets in the 2018 season, after 35 years of private lease.

The Lake is set in the heart of the Test valley between the villages of Houghton and Mottisfont and is fed directly from the River Test. Crystal clear water gives anglers the opportunity to stalk  and catch fish on a dry fly or nymph. The lake covers an area of 3.5 acres and from 2018 will be available for groups of 6 to 8 anglers at a time, which will allow ample bank space to ensure an exclusive experience at a very reasonable price.

As a group of local game fishermen and professional river keepers we have come together to provide a great trout fishing experience close to the banks of the world-famous River Test.
Fed by this ancient chalk stream, Pittleworth lake sits in a wooded glade surrounded by open fields amongst the natural beauty of the countryside and offers fishermen of all standards a rare opportunity to join us and leave the world behind!

Spread across 3.5 acres, two interlinking lakes offer a peaceful and relaxing environment, where up to six rods per day have exclusive access to some of the best fishing water in the south of England. Whether learning to cast a fly line, or taking up your usual spot on the bank, we can help you find just what you are looking for.

For a little extra we can supply lunch and a glass of bubbles to share with your friends, or just sit and watch kingfishers, red kites, water voles, grass snakes and much more – the choice is yours.

If you are looking for the occasional day away fishing, or just joining with a group of friends or family to relax; whether novice or expert we have an occasion for you. Our well-stocked lake offers the flexibility and exclusivity you may have been looking for and have now found. Contact us today to discuss your requirements.
